As he puts it, “Growing up in Chicago, you have to be tough and carry a lot of street knowledge. Being raised here matures you faster than anywhere else in the country.” Those early experiences shaped not only his character but also the honesty and depth found in his music.
Although Leon has been singing his entire life, he began writing songs at 16, when he decided to pursue his dream of becoming an R&B artist. His sound has been heavily influenced by legends such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men, H-Town, Jodeci, Ginuwine, Lauryn Hill, Usher, and R. Kelly—artists whose influence can be heard in his vocal style, songwriting, and dedication to the craft.

Behind every lyric I write is a journey shaped by creativity, discipline, and passion. I strive to create music that is both technically refined and emotionally honest — records that connect not just through sound, but through feeling. Authenticity is at the core of everything I create.
Sometimes a song begins as nothing more than a beat playing in my head. That rhythm turns into a melody, the melody turns into lyrics, and before long, it becomes a complete record. Some songs come together in thirty minutes. Others take days. I respect both processes and take my time developing each track until it reflects exactly what I intended it to be.
While I occasionally use AI platforms like Suno as a creative tool, the writing, melodies, and emotions are always my own. Technology allows artists to create and release music at a higher rate than ever before, and I embrace that evolution while staying true to my voice.
The studio remains a personal space for me — a place where I can carefully record each song exactly how I envisioned it during the writing process. Though inspiration may strike differently each time, my dedication to quality, intention, and authenticity never changes.
